Healthline Media: Sleep Hub
For Healthline’s Sleep Hub program, I developed a series of editorial illustrations designed to bridge the gap between clinical health information and human experience. By employing a soothing, low-contrast color palette and conceptual metaphors, the work transformed dense medical guides into an inviting, restorative digital environment. The project focused on providing visual clarity for a global audience navigating sleep wellness, ensuring that the art felt as calming as the solutions being provided.

Balancing Art With Accuracy
To bridge the gap between clinical medical data and the lived human experience. For Healthline’s "Sleep Hub," the goal was to create a series of realistic, high-fidelity illustrations that demystify sleep disorders and hygiene. By focusing on accurate human representation and familiar environments, the work aimed to provide a sense of reliability and expert guidance for readers navigating their wellness journey.
Visual direction involved iterating on the line-work and shading to ensure that while the figures were realistic, they didn't feel "harsh" or overly clinical. This meant softening shadows and rounding edges to keep the "soft" aesthetic.
My work for the Sleep Hub utilized realistic imagery to establish medical authority, but used soft, atmospheric palettes to perform 'visual de-escalation.' This balance ensured that the illustrations were technically accurate enough to be trusted by experts, but gentle enough to be embraced by patients in a state of stress.
